So are those vegetarians right? Should meat be avoided?

Here’s the final answer: The human body was designed to eat certain kinds of food. And you can tell which kinds by looking at other animals.

Let’s take a look at the characteristics of MEAT-eaters versus herbivore animals.

Meat-eaters:

1. Have to hunt, so they have forward-facing eyes.

2. Eat lots of meat so they need sharp teeth to tear into it.

3. Possess a smaller stomach because meat is relatively easier to digest.

Plant-eaters:

1. Possess sideways-facing eyes to keep a lookout for predators.

2. Possess flat molar-like teeth for grinding tough vegetation.

3. Have large stomachs to get the nutrients out of grass.

Now you can think to yourself: Are your eyes on the sides of your head or the front? Are your teeth dull and flat or do you have a bunch of sharp ones up front? Does your stomach take up most of your torso?

Face it: We were meant to eat meat. Now if you’re a vegetarian for personal reasons, that’s fine. Just don’t go spreading the gospel that you’re healthier as a result.

There are studies out there showing vegetarians are healthier than the average person. However that’s not much of a feat. The average person lives on pastries and candy. Restricting yourself from meat just shows you have a little self-discipline which is enough to put you over the top.

Take someone with the same self-discipline and allow them to eat meat, and you’ve got a whole other result.

Key is to make sure it’s healthy meat that’s not loaded with preservatives. I eat burgers at Whole Foods which has ruined me for most other meat served at restaurants. The healthiest stuff really does taste better.
